“This award-winning film by Marcel Meili and Christoph Schaub tells the story of ‘Il Girasole’, the rotating modernist house built into the Po Valley hillside in northern Italy. Affectionately termed ‘The Sunflower’, the house was built in the 1930s by architects Angelo Invernizzi and Ettore Fagiuoli, with the help of their artist, sculptor, designer and architect friends.”

Those guys at Mark Magazine like me so much they’ve sent me duplicate copies of their new issue N°27. Probably by mistake, but hey, I’m not complaining. Although I’m still waiting on my back-order of issue N°25. If you are wondering why so many (design) magazines are going out of print: maybe bad customer service is a possible reason.
Anyway, this new issue features an interview with Mark Maltzan, a ten-page examination of The Museum aan de Stroom by Neutelings Riedijk and a nice article by Preston Scott Cohen. Go buy it.

Available somewhere in february from Thames&Hudson (or SUN Publishers in dutch):
„For over two decades, Belgian architect Vincent van Duysen has created a body of work that is at once sublime and rich, minimal yet tactile.
